Robert Lehman Collection

40 jigsaw puzzles

The collection that the banker Robert Lehman assembled over his lifetime and gave to The Metropolitan Museum of Art. It centers on early Italian Renaissance altarpieces and paintings of saints, and the splendor typical of religious paintings on gold-leaf grounds stands out. Many tall, narrow panel paintings are another feature of this collection.
